About The Artist
Donald Baugh has been honing his craft for over 20 years where he started at the world renowned Rycotewood Furniture School in Oxfordshire. After graduating in 1996 Baugh has worked as a bespoke cabinet maker and furniture designer commissioned by private and commercial clients world wide.
Baugh is passionate about the sustainability of his industry and practices this by harvesting timber working closely with the Forestry Commission and tree surgeon Dariusz Salarski to source his materials allowing each vessel to tell its own story and have it's own uniqueness of nature. A precise combination of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, Baugh’s work uses elegant curated curves and bold colours showing off the intrinsic natural beauty of wood.
With a solid international reputation Baugh shows from New York’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair to exhibitions in Tokyo, Paris, Milan and Folkstone.
