Joseph Yanney Ewusie, introduces the concept of “Recycled Luxury”. Through his line of collector's pieces - crafted from a unique material created by mixing powdered remnants of the marble industry’s waste bound with pigments and resin - his sumptuous and avant-garde composite offers the weight, beauty, and luxury of marble whilst prioritising environmental consciousness. In today’s world where more individuals are environmentally savvy, Ewusie exemplifies how innovative design and sustainable practices can be integrated to transform our waste. And so, Colours of JoYE by Joseph Yanney Ewusie is poised to disrupt the objet d’art world with his “marble composite” collections. Ewusie’s evolving collection comprises of pieces that have their own distinctive silhouettes and personalities, that can blend together harmonising the material’s uniqueness and array of colours. Yet, each piece is one-of-a-kind due to the matrix of patterns. Colours of JoYE by Joseph Yanney Ewusie emanates energy. They are Heirlooms of the Future. The 'marble composite' is crafted from around 85% recycled marble powder, which Ewusie blends with epoxy resin. To achieve various colours, he utilises three primary hues: red, yellow, and blue, mixing them as needed. Other components involved are proprietary to the artist.

Ewusie graduated from Central St Martins with a degree in Product Design and has since worked with luxury brands creating original pieces that embody their values, having an interest in using and designing objects to tell stories. His passion for using objet d’art to convey stories is reflected in the energy of his work, which draws inspiration from his British-Ghanaian heritage and celebration of joie de vivre.
